About

Welcome! I’m Sharon Steele and I’m glad you’ve dropped in.

I am an author, speaker, and Bible study teacher who absolutely loves to witness Biblical truth setting people free.

I was just 21 when church leaders asked me to lead a Bible study for young married women. I knew very little, but agreed to give it a try.  I studied and prayed, then I studied and prayed, and then I studied and prayed some more. I prepared lesson plans just in case my mind went absolutely blank and couldn’t remember a thing I’d studied. With shaking knees, I walked into that class and believe it or not, I am sure Jesus showed up as well. What an incredible start to a life-long passion of teaching God’s word!

If you haven’t guessed, I absolutely love to teach truths from God’s Word and nothing thrills me more than seeing lives change when truth penetrates. The years of teaching and writing lesson plans prepared me for yet another surprising ministry when God threw open a door for me, a stay-at-home mom, to write three Bible study books.  I have three Bible Study books that have been published.  Loving like Jesus, Finding Contentment, and Transformed by God’s Word are available in electronic format from Amazon. There are a limited number of copies still in print.

I have recently completed writing a study based on the book of Ephesians, called Lavish Grace, with a strong emphasis on the power and availability of God’s grace. Lavish Grace is available from me in an electronic format for anyone who would like to print their own copies. I have personally taught this study twice and I’d love to share the material.

I currently attend CrossPointe Church in Bothell, Washington, where I lead a Sunday morning women’s Bible study and am actively involved in Women’s Ministry.

My husband Robert and I live in Lynnwood and are the parents of three adult children and have five grandchildren and three adorable great grandchildren. The past 16 years I have worked at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett and am now retiring. I look foward to having more creative energy for writing, time for volunteering, and being with the latest generation in my family. Did I mention they are really adorable?

  3. Why don’t you write your memoirs? That would surely make a powerful story about one of Jesus’ women in the ministry!
P.S. I still covet your painting of the Sheepdog howling for the Master to come help.
